The Advent of Peace
In a world searching for calm, comfort, and security, the Bible offers a peace that doesn’t fade.
In Week 2 of our ADVENT series, Gabriel Hoff Jr. brings a powerful message titled “The Advent of Peace: Peace Be With You” from Isaiah 9:6–7. This passage reveals that true peace isn’t found in circumstances—it is found in a Person.
While worldly peace is fragile, temporary, and easily stolen, the peace Christ gives is rooted in who He is and what He has done. This message invites us to look beyond the chaos around us and rest in the unshakeable peace that flows from Jesus, the promised Messiah.
Sermon Points:
Peace Begins With God’s Gift – Christ came to us, not because we earned it, but because God graciously gives peace to sinners.
Peace Rests on Christ’s Authority – Jesus’ rule is unlike any earthly ruler; His eternal reign brings lasting peace to those governed by Him.
Peace Flows From Who He Is – He is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace—the One who embodies peace itself.
Peace Grows Because God Is Committed to It – His kingdom and His peace will increase forever, and in every area Christ rules, peace grows.
