Honor Has Weight

What does it really mean to honor your father and mother? In Message 5 of our Ten Invitations To Life series, Pastor Thomas walks through Exodus 20:12 and reminds us that life is received before it is achieved, and that we were never meant to live completely on our own.

Honor recognizes the weight and dignity God has placed within our relationships. It changes as we grow, but it never disappears. Through the teachings of Jesus, Paul, and the example of Christ Himself, we are reminded that devotion to God never gives us permission to neglect the people He has entrusted to us.

We are not self-made people. We are part of an intergenerational family God is forming, and we need each other.
